ABOUT IBAC | Overview
The Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) is the national voice of p&c insurance brokers and an advocate for insurance consumers. IBAC represents their interests to the government of Canada.
The Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) works to elevate the status of insurance brokers through professional development and by establishing improved standards of qualification and ethical practice. It maintains licensing courses and education programs for brokers.
IBAC also promotes the value of the property and casualty insurance broker and plays an important role in maintaining continuous dialogue among members and within the industry, ensuring that brokers are kept well-informed on matters of interest and important changes in the industry. The continuous dialogue is aimed at improving the services provided by insurance brokers, safeguarding their service and integrity, and ensuring that individual and commercial clients will have professional advice and freedom of choice in their selection of property and casualty insurance coverage.
